Submissions will be judged by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

  • (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the concept ambitious, novel or unique?

  • Does the submission reveal meaningful patterns or trends, highlight unexpected findings or raise new questions worth exploring?
  • Are the data sources credible and relevant, with assumptions clearly stated and the methodology transparent and sound?  
  • (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the solution technically sound, functional and clearly communicated? 
  • (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Does the technical solution align well with the challenge theme?

  • Does the analysis align with the challenge goals while demonstrating subject-matter expertise, awareness of equity considerations and understanding of real-world impacts?
